ORDINANCE CLOSING STREET WHEREAS, proper notice that Clark-Whitehill company, a General Partner- ship comprised of Barry D. Clark, Tnc. and Howard M. Weisberg, Inc., both Virginia Corporations, and Clayton F. Russell and Barbara S. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA: That the Council approves the granting of an easement to Virginia Electric and Power Company for a right of way across City property between the Courthouse and the City Garage, and further, approves the granting of an easement to Virginia Electric and Power Company along the line of the Sewage Pumping Station serving the Courthouse, lying generally north of Princess Anne Road. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VIRGINIA BEACH2 VIRGINIA: That Section 38-2, of the Virginia Beach City Code is hereby amended and reordained to read as follows: Section 38-2. Discharge of firearms; slingshots, etc., on, along or within one hundred yards of roads, etc., gelierally. it shall be unlawful for any person to discharge any firearm, spring-propelled pistol or rifle, air-propelled pistol or rifle or slingshot in or along any public road in the city or within one hundred yards of any public road, building or dwell-ing in the city- or, while on shore, within 100 yards of any public waters; provided, however, that nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit the use of firearms by rp-embers of the police department or city sergeants acting in performance of their duties or by members of the military, naval, or air forces of the United States or this state, acting in performance of their duties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA: That the Council vigorously opposes expansion of the State Park beyond the scope envisaged by its resolution formerly adopted.
