Council: Vice Mayor reported on Virginia Highway/Transportation Conference with representatives of the Gen- eral Assembly/referenced JLARC funding/Public Hearing in Rich- mond 12/13/JLARC Study due July 1983. Vice Mayor participated in "Pilot Program" Environmental Education Program being developed at False Cape State Park, developed joint by Virginia Institute of Marine Sciences/Division of State Parks/ William & Mary. Environmental Education Program will go ahead at the State Park regardless of the outcome of the "land exchang=". Suggested Marine Science Museum work closely with this Program. Reconsider Request to expedite • LaQuinta Motor Inn CUP from Dec. 14 Planning Commission to Dec. 20 City Council (see Formal Agenda) • Council Members' meeting with representatives of VBRAC- maybe VBRAC could research method of zoning items and CUP at Planning Commission and ultimate hearing at City Council/ maybe the proce•s could be "three-part" as is done in other cities - Discussion.
