To: The Hon. Supervisors of Princess Anne County:
i. J. E. C. Davis and lv~rion IvicLean Davis, husband
and wife, are the fee simple owners of the two parcels shown
on the sketch attached as "'John I'~'~. Bratten, 0.28~+~ Acres" and
"Louis S. Philhower, 0.1269 Acres".
2. The attached sketch is a duplication from a plat
of property known as "Sketch Showing Property of John M. Bratten"~
duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of
said County, in ~',.'tap Book 31, page 37.
3. Route #6~, known as Little i'~eck l~oad, for many
years entered Virginia Beach Boulevard at the point shown on
said sketch as "Hub". The center line of Route ~6~ at its
intersection with Virginia Beach Boulevard as it was formerly
constituted is shown on said sketch, and is a secondary road.
~. In recent years the line of Route ~6~ has been
altered by the State Highway Department~ also shown on the
sketch~ so that the portion of the old road lying between the
two parcels owned by Petitioners is no longer in use as a road.
5. The said new portion of ~oute ~6~ serves the
same citizens as the old portion thereof and is constructed in
lieu thereof and approved by the State Highway Con~nissioner.
WherEFORE, pursuant to Sec. ]~-76.12 of the Code of
Virginia, Petitioners reauest of the Board of ~uperv:.sors that a
resolution be adopted by it, declaring to be abandoned that
portion of Route i~6~ whose center line is defined by the lines
"N 65° 25' 10" W, 60.62 feet" and "N 52° ~2' 10" W, ~7~17 feet",
as shown on the plat of "Sketch Showing Property of john M.
Bratten", duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit
Court of Princess Anne County, Virginia, in l~"~p Book 31, at page
37.

Before the Board of Supervieors of Princess Anne County,
Virginia, at a meeting held on the 32 day of
,1957,
came the Petitioners, Margaret Old Butt, Eugene F. Butt, Hallie
C. 01d, Julia D. Old, Sue 01d Crawley, James E. 01d, Jr. and
Mary P. 01d, requesting that the Board of Supervisors close and
vacate certain streets, lanes and alleyways as shown on a plat
entitled "North Jacksondale, dated May 18~4 and duly recorded
May 22, 1895, in the Clerkts Office of the Circuit Court of
Princess Anne County, Virginia, in Deed Book 65, page 439", said
streets shown on said plat being described more particularly
as follows, to-wit:
Cheasapeake Avenue; Princess Anne Avenue; Lynnhaven Avenue;
Main Street; Albermarle Avenue and Atlantic Street, toget-
her with alleys and lanes appurtenant thence as shown on
said plat.
and upon motion duly made and seconded, and by the affirmative
vote of all present the Board of Supervisors being satisfied tha
statutes made and provided in such cases have been complied with
and finding that no public necessity exists for the continuance
or establishment of the said streets, lanes and alleyways.
IT IS ~EREBY ORDERED, that the streets, lanes and alleyways
as sho~ on the plat entitled "North Jacksondale, dated May 1874
and duly recorded May 22, 1895 in the Clerk,s Office of the Cir-
Ogi~ Court of Princeas Anne County, Virginia, in Deed Book 65,
page 439", the streets being named as follows: Chesapeake Avenue
Princess Anne Avenue; Lynnhaven Avenue; Albermarle Avenue; Main
Street an~ Atlantic Street, together with alleys and lanes appux
tenant ~ereto as sho~ on said plat are hereby closed, vacated
and a~'~ndone d.

Motion by Mr. Herric!~, seconded by Mr. Snyder that the Princess
Anne County Board of Supervisors interpose no objection to the
application of Colonel Arthur Jones for the installation of a septic
tan~ on properites of the Jones Warehouse Corporation in Kemps-
viIIe District, in princess Anne County, provided that the said
Arthur Jones, his heirs or assigns, aggree to remove the said
septic tan~ from its proposed location upon being given 30 days notice
by the governing body, and that the said Arthur Jones aggrees to
install, operate, and maintain the subject septic tan~ and further
that the said Arthur Jones, his heirs or assigns or the Jones Ware-
house Corporation, wilt provide s'ufficient liability insurance to
guarantee holding the County of Princess Anne and the princess
Anne County Board of Supervisors either individually or collectively
free from all damage claims which might arise as a result of the
construction and operation of the septic tan~,.
Unanimously approved.

In line with our discussion yesterday concerning th~i:i~:e. ..................................
establishing the City Limits of Virginia Beach near the
Rudee Inlet Bridge on State Route 1219, we are forwarding
a map indicating said line and established by Langley and
McDonald, Civil Engineers.
As this is entirely a matter between the County and the
City of Virginia Beach, we would like to be advised if the
line, as indicated on the attached map, coincides with line
as recorded by the County.
If this line thus established does not coincide, we would
appreciate your indicating just where the approved and
recorded line is located. Further, we request that the
attached map be returned for our files.
We appreciate your looking into this matter for us and
your advice is very much appreciated.
