Henley referenced the attendance of her husband, G. Winston Henley, sons, Bruce and Jeff, and Daughter-In-Law, Stormy. Three (3) of her grandchildren, Hunter, Sage and Skye were present, as well as campaign supporters. Kelly is not home from school. Council Lady Henley advised it was her distinct pleasure to have her family and campaign supporters in attendance. The Special Session being in January rather than July, made this possible, as everyone is not working in the fields of their farm and could attend. Council Lady Bellitto advised her family is watching the proceedings electronically. Mother and Husband are out-of--town and the children are just arriving home from school. Councilman DeSteph advised his children were still in school Vice Mayor Jones advised his wife said: "Again! " Councilman Wood advised his wife, Rebecca, son -Jimmy, and daughter -Meredith are in attendance, but have to return to school this weekend. His parents, James and Dorothy, brother, Chris, and his wife Kristie and Riley and Elise are in attendance. Councilman Uhrin was delighted to have his wife, Kathy, his daughter Eva, the "baby on the,way ", and his brother Dave in attendance. January 4, 2011 -4- Item V-F.l. Jones Bayside -District 4 Vice Mayor 2 year term January 1, 2011- December 31, 2012 Councilman Wood advised The Honorable Louis R. Jones has served the City since 1982 as a Council Member, Mayor and Vice Mayor. Councilman Wood and Vice Mayor Jones have gone through three (3) election cycles together and both won. Vice Mayors Jones has been a strong leader on the City Council in the midst ofchallenging issues. Vice Mayor Jones is a quiet, analytical individual; however, when he chooses to speak, he commands the attention of all in the room. Needless to say, he has the respect of the City Council and has represented Virginia Beach very well at the local, regional and national levels through the years.
