Kevin Fairley, Information Services Administrator — ComIT, and Jason Hall, City Webmaster — ComIT, advised there is excitement with the new website in functionality and features to be brought for our citizens. This is a little more than a redesign, essentially a total replacement of the systems and the applications used to manage the Website. This system will "roll out" on all new hardware with a new content management system, by which the users will input their content. As the tool set was new to the Administrators, some of the smaller external websites were utilized as a proving ground. This allowed staff the opportunity to learn the system. Sites exist now, which are employed in the new environment and are utilized by the public.
