SESSION in the Conference Room, Economic Development, on Wednesday, December 11, 2015, at 1:18
P.M. to CONTINUE THE INTERVIEWS for THE POSITION OF CITY MANAGER.

Mayor William D. Sessoms, Jr., entertained a motion to permit City Council to conduct its CLOSED
SESSION,pursuant to Section 2.2-3711(A)(1), Code of Virginia, as amended,for the following purpose:
PERSONNEL MATTERS: Discussion, consideration of or interviews
of prospective candidates for employment, assignment, appointment,
promotion, performance, demotion, salaries, disciplining or resignation
of specific public officers, appointees or employees pursuant to Section
2.2-3711(A)(1)

Upon motion by John D. Moss, seconded by Councilman Uhrin, City Council voted to proceed into
CLOSED SESSION for a specific Personnel matter at 1:18 P.M.

In accordance with Virginia Code § 2.2-
3712(B), City Council will hold closed session
meetings at an undisclosed location within the
next 15 days for the purpose of interviewing
candidates for the position of City Manager. No
votes will be taken, other than the votes to
convene and certify the closed sessions. Any
vote to appoint a candidate to the position of
City Manager will occur at a subsequent public
meeting, for which public notice will be provided
in accordance with the provisions of the Virginia
Freedom of Information Act.
