SESSION in the Conference Room, City Hall, on Tuesday, March 4, 2017, at 5:40 P.M,for the purpose
of discussing the proposed ARENA PROJECT.

Mayor Sessoms read the Mayor's Call for the SPECIAL FORMAL SESSION:
8 March 2017
"HONORABLE MEMBERS OF CITY COUNCIL
In accordance with the Virginia Beach City Code Section 2-21, and by
the authority vested in me as Mayor of the City of Virginia Beach, I hereby call
for a SPECIAL FORMAL SESSION of the VIRGINIA BEACH CITY
COUNCIL:
Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at 5:15 P.M
City Council Conference Room 234
2401 Courthouse Drive
The purpose of this SPECIAL FORMAL SESSION is to conduct a
CLOSED SESSION for the sole purpose of discussing the proposed ARENA.
The regularly scheduled CITY COUNCI WORKSHOP will begin at
4:00 P.M for Briefings by various Departments re the FY2017-18 Capital
Improvement Program as a part of the Budget allocations.

involving expenditure of public funds, and discussion of terms or scope
of such contract, where discussion in an open session would adversely
affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the public body
pursuant to Section 2.2-3711(A)(29)

PUBLICLY-HELD PROPERTY: Discussion or consideration of the,
acquisition of real property for public purpose; or of the disposition of
publicly-held property, where discussion in an open meeting would
adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the
public body pursuant to Section 2.2-3711(A)(3).
