HONORABLE MEMBERS OF CITY COUNCIL
By letter dated December 7, 2017, and in accordance with Virginia Beach City Code§
2-21, I called for three SPECIAL FORMAL SESSIONS of City Council to be held in Room
205 at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts, 201 Market Street, Virginia Beach,for the
sole purpose of convening into CLOSED SESSION in accordance with Virginia Code§2.2-
3711(A)(1) to interview prospective candidates for City Clerk and City Real Estate Assessor.
The first meeting occurred this morning, and in my December 7, 2017 letter,I called
for the second meeting to be held on Friday,December 15, 2017 beginning at 8:30 AM. On
behalf of the City Council, I am hereby changing the start time for that meeting to 8:45 AM.
The third meeting will be held on the same date and time as indicated in my December 7, 2017
letter: Tuesday,December 19, 2017, at 10:00 AM.
After each Closed Session, City Council will reconvene into Formal Session to certify
that only the business stated above was discussed
