The City's goal is to limit the number of new poles installed by using existing poles such as lighting poles and traffic signals: ' Typical scenario: 1. Provider is unable to negotiate Option #1 with the pole owner 2. Provider does not have the option of co- ' locating on an existing City-owned r{ f structure 3. New pole placed on Rosemont Rd.,near Buckner Blvd. 5 Here is a summary of the Ordinance that will be presented to City Council for consideration on December 4, 2018: Requested Council Action: Approve Master License Agreements with Verizon and AT&T for an initial term of 25 years with a 15 year renewal option, with the following terms and conditions: 1. Attachment to each individual pole will be subject to a formal application process,and reviewed by the appointed department representative prior to approval. 2. Once approved for attachment,each small cell application will then be processed through the City's normal permitting process,and will be granted or denied a right-of-way permit in a non-discriminatory manner. 3. Approval to attach or replace and attach to a City-owned structure is not a guarantee by the City that such project will be issued a right-of-way permit. That determination will be made independently and based on the applicant's detailed site plan,traffic control,and landscape plan,if applicable.
