of the City of Virginia Beach, I hereby call for a SPECIAL SESSION of the VIRGINIA BEACH CITY
COUNCIL

at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled workshop

The purpose of this SPECIAL SESSION is to allow City Council to CONVENE INTO CLOSED
SESSION for discussion, consideration of or interviews of prospective candidates for employment,
assignment, appointment, promotion, performance, demotion, salaries, disciplining or resignation of
specific public officer, appointees or employees pursuant to Section 2.2-3711(A)(1)
• Council Appointments: Council, Boards, Commissions,
Committees, Authorities, Agencies, Task Forces and Appointees
At the conclusion of the Closed Session, the City Council will reconvene in Open Session for the purpose
of certifying the Closed Session before adjourning. No appointments will be formally made at this meeting.
