The SPECIAL SESSION of the VIRGINIA BEACH CITY COUNCIL was called to order by
Mayor Robert G. Jones in the Conference Room, City Hall Building, on Friday,
January 16, 1987, at 8:30 A.M.

the authority vested in me, I hereby call a SPECIAL
SESSION of the Virginia Beach City Council for the
purpose of an EXECUTIVE SESSION and/or any public
action which may be deemed necessary for the
welfare of our citizens as related to the
litigation of R. G. Moore Building Corporation and
the dedication for a school site, to be held at
8:30 AM, January 16, 1987, in the Conference Room,
City Hall, Municipal Center, Virginia Beach,
Virginia."

Mayor Jones entertained a motion to permit City Council to conduct its
EXECUTIVE SESSION pursuant to Section 2.1-344, Code of Virginia, as
amended, for the following purposes:
1. LEGAL MATTERS: Consultation with legal counsel or briefings by staff
members, consultants or attorneys, pertaining to actual or potential
litigation, or other legal matters within the jurisdiction of the public
body.
Upon motion by Councilman Baum, seconded by Councilman Balko, City Council
voted to proceed into EXECUTIVE SESSION.
