On March 14, 1977, City Council declared as excess the property
shown on the attached plat. This land had been acquired because
it was felt that the property could one day be developed for
b~ke trails and other recreational faciliti_es. A reevaluation of
the reuse plans for thJ. s property determined that we no longer had
a need for retention of the property.
The following bids were received:
Mr. Edwin B. LJndsley, Jr.
$1,515.15
Suprene Petro]_eum, Incorporated
1,000.00
Therefore, City Council voted to approve the high bid of Edwin B.
Lindsley, Jr., in the amount of ~$1,515.15, for the purchase of
certain property (see attached plat); and further authorized the
City Manager to enter into the hecessary agreements for the trans-
fer of this property.
