COUNCIL for the FY 1994-95 OPERATING BUDGET and CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
in the Princess Anne High School Auditorium on Wednesday, April 13, 1994, at 7.'00 P.M..

For all interested citizens of the City of Virginia Beach, Virginia, hearings on the proposed $97,925,1 22 Fiscal Year 1 994-95
Capital Budget and the proposed $963,774,790 Six-Year Capital Improvement Program beginning with FY 1994-95 will be
held as noted above. A summary of the proposed program is as follows:

The Proposed Fiscal Year 1 994-95 Capital Budget is included in the Proposed Capital Improvement Program, and is available
for examination at the Central Library and branch libraries during regularly scheduled hours of operation. Copies are also
available for examination at the Department of Management and Budget, the City Manager's office, and the City Clerk's office
in the City Hall Building, Municipal Center, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday-
All hearings are open to the public. City Council shall provide persons desiring to be heard an opportunity to make oral
comments within such reasonable time limits as shall be determined by City Council. Written comments may be presented
at the hearing. All interested parties are invited to be present at the above mentioned times and places. Individuals desiring
to provide oral or written comments may do so by contacting the City Clerk's office at 427-4303 or by registering in the City
Clerk's office on the second floor of the City Hall Building prior to the hearings. If you are physically disabled, heari@ng or
visually impaired and need assistance at this meeting, please call 427-4305 VOICEfTDD.

7he City Clerk re4d statement re absence of Vice Mayor Sessoms and Councibnan Baum:
"Pi-ce Mayor Sessoms regrets his absence here tonight 7he original
schedule for this Public Hearing was April ]4th and this was clear on his
calendar. However, when the date was changed to April 13th, a previous
coinmitynent could not be changed Vice Mayor Sessoms will review the
video and take all comments into consideration in his evaluation of the
FY 1994-95 Operating Budget and accompanying Cip.
Councibnan Baum regrets his absence. Councilman Baum's mother
passed away last night.
