Marcie Sims, Director- Public Libraries, advised with the latest revisions provided, construction of the last building (Kempsville Library renovations) could be concluded in 2003/2004 or 2005. The construction schedule would be lengthened according to the amount of the Referendum. The City has no choice but to invest in electronic resources. The information age is overwhelming. The number of visitors have been reviewed and it has been determined that assuming every customer requests assistance, approximately 2 minutes can be spent with each customer. V~ith the new technology, the visitors need more attention than the library can give. Mr. Block suggested another alternative, "H", adding Sunday service hours all year for 5 sites to the "G" alternative.
