VIRGINIA RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY PRINCESS ANNE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD At the November meeting of the County School Board the following resolu- tion was adopted: BE IT RESOLVED: The Princess Anne County· School Board hereby requests the County Treasurer to make available to the KEMPSVILLE ~ DISTRICT SCHOOL BOND FUND the sum of ~~(iii~ the fund by the Bank of Virginia Beach as an interest payment on the construction fund which was placed on time savings deposit during the period July 1, 1957 BE IT F~RTHEI% RESOLVED: Th~k amount recited above is neces- Larryrnore and Woodstock schools. WEBBON OFFICE OF THE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY PRINCESS ANNE, VIRGINIA Whereas, the Princess Anne County Board of Supervisors recognizes that in the last few years pollution of the waters of the Harbor of Hampton Roads, its adjacent and contiguous tributary waters and beaches has become increasingly apparent ami now presents a serious hazard to the health, welfare and economic use of both the Harbor its tributary waters and the beaches. Therefore, Be It Resolved That The Executive Secretary of the Board of Supervisors be directed to forward this petitgon to the Honorable Roberson, [I. S. Congressman from the / ~' District, requesting him to: (1) Make effective a lrill~similar to the one passed for Yew York Harbo~ for the regulation and prevention of water polluNon for the Port of Hampton Roads w~tk the necessary apPropriaNons and designating the Corps. of Er~neers, USA as the enforce- ment agency. (2) Provide additional funds and personnel to the O. 8. Coast Guardlg to enable them to coordinate the operations of launch, air-patrol and shore inspections in visiNng water front industrial plants, oil refineries and similar installations, and provide air-patrols for the review of vessels at sea to insure compliance w~th Federal statutes both ashore and in open waters w~thin the jurisdictional limits of the (3) Appropriate sufficient funds and personnel to provide adequate legal persor~el to the Office of the U. S. District Attorney to assure proper prosecuNon and punishment of violaNons of the statutes regarding pollution. RESOLUTION WHEREAS, JOHN ARAGONA, EMILIO OLIVIERI, LEWIS E. KELLERamd LAWRENCE A. SANCILIO, have petitioned the Board of Supervisors for the vacation of a certain portion of Cambridge Street, as shown on the map of Euclid Place, of record in Map Book 4, at page &2 and &3; and WHEREAS, it appearing from the said Petition and otherwise, that the Petitioners are the owners of all of the land bounding on each side of that portion of the street desired to be closed; and WHEREAS, the Board is of the opinion that there are no other pro owners within the area of the land shown on the said Plat of Euclid Place reasonably needing to use that portion of such street as a means of ingress and egress to and from their properties; THEREFORE, upon motion duly made and seconded and by the affirmative vote of all present, it is: .RESOLVED, That the County of Princess Anne does approve the vacatio~ of that said portion of Cambridge Street, as shown on a Plat of Euclid Place of record in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of Princess Anne County, Virginia, in Map Book 4, at pages &2 and ~3, being fifty feet (50') in width, and running parallel with Virginia Beach Boulevard, and more particularly described as that portion of Cambridge Street extending a distanct of 1150', more or less, extending fz~mthe Eastern line of Connecticut Avenue at its inter~ section with the said Cambridge Street Eastwardly to the Western line of Jefferson Avenue, at its intersection with the said Cambridge Street, and the Chairman of this Board is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an appropriate instrument with the owners of the land bounding on that portion of the said Cambridge Street, as aforesaid, vacating the said street and the Clef! is authorized and directed to affix and attest the seal of the County to such instrument.
