Sessoms, Jr. called to order the PUBLIC HEARING of the FIRGINIA BEACH CITY COUNCIL for the REAPPORTIONMENT AND 7-4 PLAN FOR ELECTORAL PROCESS in the Council Chamber, City Hall Building, April 27, 1993, at 4:00 P.M. Council Members Present: John A. Baum, Linwood O. Branch, III, James W. Brazier, Jr., Robert W. Clyburn, Robert I~ Dean, Louis R. Jones, Paul J. Lanteigne, John D. Moss, Nancy I~ Parker and Vice Mayor William D. Sessorns, Jr. Council Members Absent: Mayor Meyera E. Oberndorf (Granddaughter, Lila Ellenson Kelso, 7 lbs, 5 ounces, born 4~27~93)None -2- Item I-A. ITEM # 36714 The Vice Mayor read the CALL TO SPECIAL SESSION: "HONORABLE MEMBERS OF CITY COUNCIL In accordance with the City Charter, Section 3.06, the City Code, Section 2-21, and by the authority vested in me as Mayor of the City, I hereby call SPECIAL FORMAL SESSION of the VIRGINIA BEACH CITY COUNCIL in the Council Chamber, City Hall Building, on Tuesday, April 27, 1993, at 4:00 P.M. for the following purpose: To conduct a Public Hearing to consider changes in the City's electoral process and to solicit plans for proposed changes.
