Who Are We?
Our Motto:
“Where Knowledge is Pivotal in Each Step Toward Success”
Our Mission:
The Philosophy of Ministry at the Scientia Institute for Christian Studies focuses on delivering sacred care through purpose, presence, and peace. Our Mission is to educate individuals on the fundamental principles and significance of pastoral care, specifically in the foundations of chaplaincy and servant leadership. This education is aimed at equipping individuals to effectively address the needs of our communities.
Our Charge:
More than just Academics
Combatting Ignorance
Providing a Ministry of Presence
Friends to the Community
We are here to serve as a bridge
and ensure that no one is taxed
as they try to come across.

chaplain service and training to the seven cities of Hampton Roads.

Our Desire
Our Hope:
We desire to build strong relationships with our Municipal and Community Leaders. This will foster the development of alliances and alignment with organizations and processes established in each city.
Our Strategy:
This initiative has great potential for bridging socio-political divides within our communities because our chaplains do not present a biased agenda. Our philosophy of culture and vision is to develop community-minded influencers with hearts and moral principles established in faith and the Golden Rule.
Our Vision:
Serving The Municipality
Supporting current Mayoral
committee initiatives where
possible.
Creating opportunities for chaplain
roles in the municipal marketplace
(Courts, Firehouses, Social Services,
and the like).
Bridging the gap as community
chaplains by serving as a point of
contact for community Crisis
Intervention when sensitive issues
arise.
Our Vision:
Serving The People
Crisis Intervention: Our services are designed
to reduce Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD),
to provide support for community peers &
those in Crisis to help them heal & recover.
Emotional/Psychological Support: Whether
trauma, alcohol or substance abuse, self-injury
& suicidal thoughts. Chaplains counsel & assist
victims in getting professional help.
First Responder Support: Our chaplains provide
care and on-call intervention to patients and
their families, respond to crisis calls, deliver
death notifications, visit sick responders, and
offer biblical counseling and grief ministry.
This concludes our presentation.
We eagerly anticipate our collaborative efforts,
working together as a unified front to
strengthen our communities for our youth,
residents, and first responders.
