The Resort Area Mobility Plan (RAMP)
The scope for Atlantic Avenue rehabilitation was developed and refined during the RAMP process based on substantial community input and data collection:
When asked how the space
along Atlantic Avenue should
be prioritized, (1 being the
greatest priority and 5 being
the least), survey participants
place a premium on space
for pedestrians and bicyclists

The Resort Area Mobility Plan (RAMP)2
The decision to recommend the elimination of on-street parking for
increased pedestrian space and streetscape was carefully analyzed and
considered in the recommendation:
•Pedestrian counts collected in July 2021,
recorded thousands on foot on Atlantic Avenue
•Positive feedback was received on The AVE
•Negative feedback was received by first
responders concerning the on-street parking
•Seasonal parking data showed only 40% of the
blocks experienced consistent use
•55% of respondents indicated they weren’t
aware of the on-street parking or rarely used it
Temporary Off-Season On-Street Parking
has been offered along Atlantic Ave since
2018 between October and April
