Current Funding: $31.5 M of RSTP (Federal)
Project Description:
•Widen Laskin Road from 4 to 6 lanes (approximately ½ mile) from Republic
Road to Phillips Avenue
•Improvements include:
•Remove frontage roads
•Convert intersection to continuous Green-T at Regency Drive
•Install dedicated turn lanes
•Construct a new 10-ft-wide shared-use path
•Minor Right-of-way (ROW) acquisition required
Benefits:
•Completes the western-most segment of Laskin Road improvement projects
•Improves safety by removing frontage roads
•Enhances bicyclist and pedestrian safety 9

POTTERS ROAD AND I-264
Project description:
•Re-align northbound (NB) Lynnhaven Parkway from 3 to 4 lanes
•Add an exclusive right-turn lane onto I-264 eastbound on-ramp
•Reconstruct right-turn lanes for westbound onto Lynnhaven Pkwy and NB
onto Potters Rd
•Modify traffic signals as needed
Benefits:
•Low-cost improvement
•Reduces congestion and improves access to I-264
•Increases safety during peak period traffic
Note: Project was identified in an ongoing VDOT Strategically Targeted
Affordable Roadway Solutions (STARS) study 11
